POSITION PURPOSE:
This position is for a Project Engineer who will be part of site projects and infrastructure team. He/She will be involved in all project planning, design and construction works of the projects at our Vapi facility. He/She also supports to production plants for small scale modifications projects. Project Engineer will bring value by efficiently managing capex projects thereby adding capital efficiency.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Defining project scope and objectivesConduct feasibility study of proposed projects and prepare alternate optionsResponsible for the projects starting from the early concept phase through the commissioningAccountable for overall costs and schedule based on scope of workResponsible for all deliverables as per the defined deliverable list and ensure good documentationsInitiate project reviews and ensure that the comments are incorporatedShould oversee construction activities at the construction site to ensure safety and quality as per specificationsManage project schedule and project costs to meet timeline and achieve cost efficiencyPrepare project reports and communicate on a consistent basis to various stakeholdersManage contracts with vendors and suppliersEffectively manage changeShould coordinate with authority management team regarding the required legal permits.Accountable for the safety and quality at the construction siteUtilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project executionConfirming the adherence of Procedures & Policies and local regulations
WHO YOU ARE:
Bachelor or master’s degrees in chemical or Mechanical engineering or equivalent8 + years of project management and related experience preferably in Chemical industryExcellent analytical skills and a strong people leadership skillStrong communication and interpersonal skillsProven ability to solve problems creativelyStrong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practicesHaving an experience through the full life cycle of projects starting concepts to commissioningProven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timelineA person having maintenance experience in chemical plants will be preferable YOUR APPLICATION Bayer offers a wide variety of competitive compensation and benefits programs. WHO YOU ARE:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to solve problems creatively
Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
Having an experience through the full life cycle of projects starting concepts to commissioning
Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
A person having maintenance experience in chemical plants will be preferable
